Earned & Online Media – 2017 British Columbia Provincial Election

During the 2017 British Columbia General Election BuzzMachine media managed the online campaign and communications for 3 Richmond & New Westminster BC electoral districts.  From blogs, speeches, media releases, op-ed pieces to all aspects of online communications, and targeted social video, we guided the campaigns to levels never heard of by NDP campaigns in the Richmond area. The Aman Singh BCNDP campaign in Richmond-Queensborough came within 134 votes of a historic victory, and caused election night electricity, as the lead swung back and forth – the result was not final until over a week later, as absentee ballots were counted. Earned media hits included CBC, the Province & Sun, as well as local weeklies and ethnic news agencies. The campaign also generated interest abroad.
